Two days ago, Zotero announced it will soon provide plug-ins for Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer webbrowsers. Along with the new standalone version of Zotero announced back in April this will make the bibliography manager a universal tool for all PC platforms, no matter which browser you prefer. So far, Zotero has been an add-on running within the Firefox webbrowser only. Unfortunately, no dates were given for the release in the latest blog post from which I have picked up this piece of news.
Zotero allows importing bibliographic metadata from library catalogues and other sources and exporting citations directly to your reasearch paper either by way of a textprocessor plug-in or by drag and drop to the editor window. Most notably, the BibTeX format is also supported.
